Trails Working Group

As active trail users in the park, we want you to know about public input sessions regarding the trails near the Camosun Bog.

Trail Planning Information Sessions

Oct 18 and 22

Pacific Spirit Regional Park is a busy place for recreational users.  It is also an important place for conservation values.  Sensitive areas like the Camosun Bog ecosystem need protection from impacts.

This ecosystem extends well beyond the area that is maintained by the “Crazy Boggers” who have restored a large section.

We will be getting the public input on the plan to close some of the trails that have been developed by users of the area and to open others up to become newly commissioned and properly maintained trails.  This is to protect the park area ecosystem and to facilitate park user needs. We will be inviting park users to provide ideas and suggestions that will help finalize plans.

Metro Vancouver Park Staff and PSPS Board members will be on hand to provide information, answer questions, and collect your comments.

Please drop by!

On Oct. 18 and 22 we will be holding public input sessions at two tented stations, shown on the map with green stars.

The idea is that regular users of the area should have a say in the matter.

The existing trails are shown in yellow, what is under question is where the new North/South trail (pink arrow) should be located.
